What is Jestor?
Jestor is a platform for building the systems your company runs on, like CRMs, approvals and service desks, with AI that builds and works for you.
In short
- What it is: a platform for building the systems your company runs on, such as CRMs, approval flows, finance controls, inventory, service desks and project trackers.
- What you get: every system comes with a database, forms, kanbans, dashboards, automations and permissions built in.
- How to build: with AI (the AI App Builder, Block Composer, AI Block Builder or MCP), by hand, or with the Jestor team.
- Why it is safe for AI: the AI works inside the platform, inherits your permissions and every change is logged.
What is it
Jestor is a platform for building the systems your company runs on: CRMs, approval flows, finance controls, inventory, service desks, project trackers. Instead of adapting your team to a generic tool, you build a system that follows your own process, with your stages, your fields and your rules.
Every system in Jestor has a database, forms, kanbans, dashboards, automations and permissions built in. You can build it with AI, by hand, or with the Jestor team.
When to use
What Jestor solves
Most operations end up running on a mix of workarounds. Jestor replaces them with one system.
- Spreadsheets that run the company. Many people editing the same file, broken formulas, no history, no control over who sees what.
- Scattered tools. Requests in email, approvals in chat, data in spreadsheets, files in folders. Information gets copied from one place to another by hand.
- Rigid software. Off-the-shelf tools force your process into their fields and flows, and charge more for every new user.
- The development backlog. Small changes to internal systems wait weeks for a developer, and the system depends on whoever built it.
- Manual data entry. People retyping invoices, receipts, emails and messages into the system.
Who it helps
Jestor is used by teams that run processes with many steps, people and approvals. Some examples:
| Team | Example systems |
|---|---|
| Operations | Vendor onboarding, internal requests, inventory, field operations |
| Finance | Accounts payable, expense reimbursements, cash flow, purchase approvals |
| Sales | CRM, sales pipeline, proposals, follow-ups |
| Customer service | Email tickets with SLAs, WhatsApp support, client portals |
| HR and Legal | Hiring, onboarding, contracts, document review |
| Projects | Task management, construction projects, change requests |
More than 200,000 people in 30+ countries run their daily work on systems built on Jestor. See examples and templates.
Capabilities
AI tools in Jestor
Building with AI
| Tool | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| AI App Builder (recommended) | Describe your process in a chat inside Jestor. It builds and publishes a complete app with tables, pages, kanbans, dashboards, business rules and sample data, and you keep chatting to change it. | Starting any new system. This is where we recommend you begin. |
| Block Composer (formerly Jestor Builder) | Describe what you need and it assembles tables, fields, kanbans, forms and app pages with Jestor's no-code components, which you can keep editing by hand. | Creating or adjusting a specific table, view or page. |
| AI Block Builder | Describe a component and it builds a custom block connected to your tables, ready to place on any app page. | A component that doesn't exist yet, like a calculator or a visual board. |
| MCP | Connect Claude, Codex or another MCP client to Jestor. Ask in plain language to create tables, fields, automations, roles, users and records, or to analyze your data. | Teams that already work in an AI assistant. Bulk setup and changes. |
| Jestor team | Book a co-creation session and build it with the Jestor team. | Complex processes, migrations, or when you want it done for you. |
The AI building tools don't create automations. Automations are built with no-code automations, low-code or the MCP.
Prompts like these work in the AI App Builder, the Block Composer or through MCP:
- "Build a simple CRM with companies, contacts and a pipeline."
- "Create a Projects table with client (connected to Clients), start date, budget and a status field with Planning, In progress and Done."
- "When a deal changes to Won, create a project with the same client and notify the account owner." (MCP)
- "What's the average deal value by salesperson this quarter?" (MCP)
AI agents
Agents take over the work that is usually done by hand.
- Attachment Vision (OCR): Reads uploaded images and PDFs (invoices, receipts, contracts, IDs) and fills in fields automatically. The original file stays on the record.
- Email Agent: Reads incoming emails, replies based on your instructions, and creates or updates records.
- WhatsApp Agent: Reads WhatsApp conversations, replies automatically, and references or updates records in a linked table.
- Ask Agent (formerly Chatbot Agent): Embedded in an app page. Users ask questions in plain language and get answers from the records in a table.
- AI in automations: Add AI steps to any workflow with Jestor AI, ChatGPT and Gemini actions: summarize, classify, translate, extract data from documents, assign users based on instructions.
The platform underneath
What every system is made of, and what you can always adjust by hand.
Data and access
- Tables: The relational database at the core of Jestor. Every app, form, agent and automation is built on top of it.
- Roles: Define what each user type can see and do.
Interfaces
- Apps: Full internal tools with navigation, data blocks, dashboards and automations.
- Forms: Public, update and in-app forms with conditionals and custom layouts.
- Kanbans: Visual pipelines with custom stages and color conditions.
Automation and integrations
- Automations: No-code and low-code (Python) automations, plus Zapier, Make, webhooks and an open API.
Team work
- Chat, Tasks and Updates: Conversations, tasks and notifications tied to real records.
- Email Ticket: Send and receive email in Jestor and turn incoming messages into records.
- SLA: Track how long records spend in each stage.
- Action Bar: Create or find anything from a single command bar.
- Import and export: Move data in and out with spreadsheets.
Why AI matters here
AI changes three things in how a company runs its operations:
- Building and changing systems takes minutes. You describe the process and the system is created. When the process changes, you ask for the change instead of opening a ticket.
- Manual work goes away. Documents, emails and messages are read and turned into records automatically.
- Anyone can get answers. Questions like "which invoices are overdue?" are answered from your data, without waiting for a report.
But AI on its own is unreliable for operations. Tools that turn a prompt into code give you a demo fast, and then you own the database, logins, permissions, backups and bugs. Jestor works the other way: the AI builds and works inside a platform that already has all of that.
- AI edits a system, it doesn't rewrite code. A change is a new field, stage or automation that a person can open and understand.
- AI inherits your permissions. It only sees and changes what the user is allowed to. Roles control access by table and field, for people and AI alike.
- Every change is logged. The History Log and Run Log record who did what and when, human or AI.
- One source of truth. Apps, agents and AI assistants all read and write the same database.
- Nothing to maintain. No servers, deploys or dependencies. Infrastructure, backups and security (SOC 2) are handled by Jestor.
How to get started
- Create your account.
- Pick the process that hurts the most today, usually the one living in a spreadsheet or being retyped by hand.
- Describe it to the AI App Builder (press C anywhere in Jestor), or connect your AI through MCP (Pro plan or higher).
Keep in mind
- The AI building tools don't create automations. Automations are built with no-code automations, low-code or the MCP.
- Connecting your AI through MCP requires the Pro plan or higher.
- AI only sees and changes what the user is allowed to. Access is controlled by Roles.
