Created By
The Created By field automatically records the name of the user who created each record. It is filled by the system at the moment the record is saved for the first time and cannot be edited manually.
How to Add
- Open a table and click Fields in the top bar.
- Click + Add existing field.
- Select Created by from the list.
- Click Save.

Keep in Mind
- The field is read-only. No user can change the value after the record is created.
- It records the logged-in user at the time of creation, not who the record is assigned to.
- If a record is created via automation, the value may reflect the automation's context rather than a specific user.

1- Can I edit the Created By value after the record is created?
No. The field is set automatically at creation and cannot be changed manually.
2- Does Created By update if the record is edited later?
No. It only reflects who created the record. For tracking who last modified it, use the Updated By field instead.
